Christmas came early for U.S. residents this week, as health-care reform legislation passed a major hurdle in a Christmas Eve Senate vote. Citizen journalism site DigitalJournal.com reported:
“Senate Democrats passed a landmark health care bill in a dramatic Christmas Eve vote that could define the legacy of President Barack Obama. The bill will usher in near-universal medical coverage for the first time in the country’s history.”
