Welcome to Blinking12.ca! (now communicatto.com)
Posted on December 12, 2008
NOTE: Blinking12.ca was the predecessor to communicatto.com and is now retired.
As noted in the “About” section, this blog was inspired by the fine folks at CPRS Vancouver. I had the privilege of being one of four speakers at their May 2008 Social Media Speed Dating event, which was a stellar experience.
At that time I promised the attendees I would use the experience to launch a blog, and that my comments from that session would be summarized in my initial blog posts.
Hence the birth of Blinking12.ca. As promised, my May comments will be posted herein, hopefully with much conversation and learning to follow.
Enjoy the Social Media ride, Blinkers! I know I will.

I was just mentioning the blinking 12 concept to my old friend from Langara Journalism today over lunch at Havana – and we had a good laugh about the idea. Here is a good definition of it in Urban Dictionary: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=blinking%2012%20generation

Oh, that’s a good definition, thanks for the link! I’ll have to sprinkle that among the hyperlinks. This weekend is my “fill up the blog” weekend since I’m back in Calgary and it’s 29 below!
